So...here we are at the Foyer in Coventry..there
are over sixty young people living here and eight of them are helping
to make Electronic Grafitti designs for the Grand Opening on April
27th 2007...
First, the design stage using white paper
and pencil - then black paper and wax neo-colour - this gives a
more realistic impression of what the Electronic Grafitti may look
like in the dark...
Electronic Grafitti @ the Foyer
- Coventry - funded by CSWP
Then the group learn how to make a simple logo
using Adobe Photoshop - this give eveyone the chance to try professional
software and also stimulates ideas and designs for the Electronic Grafitti...
Then we make a few LED
throwies to try out the designs.
Later we will be going out to find magnetic surfaces around Coventry...
Having practiced placing
throwies directly on the magnetic white board it's time to try
using a template - this is a piece of foam on foam board marked
with a grid - each cross on the grid has a hole to insert the LED...
The first few throwies
that we left behind after the session were apparently so popular
with the residents that they were all borrowed / re-circulated
around the rooms...see picture's on the left taken by Vee with
the help of Tash and Kieron
