Inspired by the "Graffiti Research Lab (GRL)- an of-shoot of "Eye Beam Open Lab " in America - this project gives our local grafitti artists a new and exciting way to add colour and messages to the urban landscape.

The technique involves the use of LED light bulbs, a lithium battery and a small magnet. GRL won a prize at the 2006 Ars Electronica for their approach to graffiti and are openly encouraging others to join in.

The great thing about the electronic graffiti is that its renewable.
The LED's and magnets can all be reused and we have a very strong policy on recycling batteries at the end of their life.
In addition it does not damage property.

Work in progress - WCC Youth Opportunity Fund have provided funding to develop this exciting art form - young people are from around the county have been making them, designing with them and planning the public installation.... ...........
